Attention, Biyaheros! There's a new tourist destination in El Nido

Bounded by pristine beaches, crystal clear waters, and towering karst, it came as no surprise that El Nido was touted as the world's best island of a New York-based magazine three times.

A real estate firm has taken advantage of its strategic location and developed a tourism estate, located at the west coast of the municipality, that conserve and preserve the island's natural beauty.

Here are some of the amazing things you need to know about El Nido's newest tourist destination, Lio Tourism Estate.

Private airport

Here's the thing about Lio -- it has its own airport and there are direct flights available going there from Manila that will only take an hour and a half.

A friendly reminder though, Biyaheros. There's only one airline that can accommodate direct flights to the tourism estate. The price is pretty expensive but you definitely get what you pay for.

Five hotels

Lio is a 325-hectare tourism estate that is home to five hotels that suit every guest's needs.

It offers accommodations that are inspired by contemporary Filipino architectural design, while some are designed for the young and laid back travelers.

Moreover, a stunning beachfront setting for couples or groups that prefer a more private and scenic resort can be found in Lio.

There are also venues that can cater to conferences, group incentive programs, and destination weddings.

Artists' village

For the artists at heart, Kalye Artisano is a must-visit in Lio as it is home to Palawan-made arts and crafts.

Local artisans also offer immersive workshops and encourage visitors to participate and interact with the community.

Sustainable tourism

Lio prides itself with its eco-friendly practices and sustainable tourism which also makes it different from other tourist attractions in Palawan.

It vows to develop tourism and commercial establishments and residential communities with world-class amenities, with the least impact on its natural landscape.
