Drew Arellano visits a chocolate spa based in Davao City which left him feeling young and yummy! Where do we sign up?

When we think about chocolates, we think of its taste, its aroma, and the many benefits that can positively affect our health.

So what happens if we incorporate chocolate into our skincare? Impossible? We think not.

Everyone, welcome to the Malagos Chocolate Spa located at Malagos Garden Resort in Davao City.

Here, you can feel the indulgence of chocolate in your skin.

According to General Manager Hermie Tabanag, they incorporated the many benefits of the popular dessert with the relaxing activity.

She added, “Basically if you eat chocolate, it's good for your health because it is an antioxidant.

“If you apply it on your skin, it's also good because it contains flavonoids that are good for treating fine lines. So wala ng mga kulubot-kulubot kaya it's good for the skin.”

The chocolate spa offers various services including a melted chocolate foot and leg massage that lasts for 45 minutes and a chocolate facial that lasts for an hour.

Host Drew Arellano said that the melted chocolate spread all over his face added to the relaxing feeling.

He explained, “For the face, ang daming nangyari. Pero ang pakiramdam ko ngayon, parang 15 years old na ulit ako.

“But, seriously speaking, it's the smell of the chocolate treatment that gives you that joy. Because it smells so good, you want to lick the sides of your face even if you're not supposed to.

“It heightens your senses, you feel relaxed afterward, and most of all you feel yummy.”
