Ever wondered what a real-life Lego town would look like? Well, such a place already exists in Ukraine and it is called Comfort Town.

Comfort Town in Kyiv, Ukraine is a housing project by architectural firm Archimatika that was 11 years in the making.

It was built in what used to be an industrial zone, with the goal of developing a residential block that would be sellable even in a time of crisis.

This was achieved by creating a comfortable and attractive environment for its residents, which is very reminiscent of a Lego town.

The buildings are beautifully painted with combinations of bright and pastel colors and spaces are divided by streets and courtyards inside the block.

Comfort Town also has a 4,500 sqm retail complex, a 4600 sqm fitness club, and a 1.5-hectare outdoor sports facility. There are also cafes, stores, and offices conveniently located on lower floors of apartment buildings.

Moreover, developers were able to preserve most of the green areas in the residential complex and restore old structures such as a water fountain and a deer sculpture.

Comfort Town is indeed the perfect example of how abandoned areas can be transformed into lovely and functional spaces, without causing much harm to the environment.

So, if you're already making post-pandemic travel plans and you're a certified Lego fan--or just a curious traveler who loves Instagrammable places--you know where you should be headed next. Off you go to Comfort Town, a.k.a. the real-life Lego town!
