Glaiza De Castro will be reunited with beau David Rainey and his family for the holidays!
Amid the travel restrictions concerning the COVID-19 pandemic, Glaiza De Castro took the risk, boarded the plane, and made a trip to Ireland.
When the quarantine was imposed in March, Glaiza found herself locked down in Baler, Aurora with her family. The Kapuso star's Irish boyfriend David Rainey spent the early parts of the quarantine with them, too.
Glaiza's provincial home became their residence for the majority of the quarantine. But when the quarantine regulations eased up in June and outbound travels were permitted, David flew back to Ireland.
David returning to his home country meant he and Glaiza have to deal with their long-distance relationship under the new normal.
David felt a little mushy about their distance in August and posted about his hopes of their reunion soon.
The couple also kept the romance and creativity alive even when they had to celebrate their anniversary apart.
Eventually, the Kapuso actress had to leave Baler to resume her showbiz work in Manila. And when she's finally done with her duties and engagements, she knew there's one more item to tick off her to-do list this holiday season.
Glaiza revealed on her Instagram account that she flew to Ireland to spend Christmastime with David and his family.
This sweet gesture by the actress was even lauded by her friends and her followers. Warm messages poured in on her post, with comments from the likes of Rachelle Ann Go, Chynna Ortaleza, Quark Henares, Lexi Gonzales, Alessandra de Rossi, a few of David's relatives, as well as her fans.
Glaiza and David officially became a couple in September 2018. They made their relationship public two months after when the latter attended a high-profile event with the Kapuso star. The couple developed a deep connection because of their love for music and surfing.
The Kapuso star has also formally met David's family in 2019. Meanwhile, she confirmed in an exclusive interview with GMANetwork.com that her parents have expressed their approval of her boyfriend during their stay in Baler this year.
