Since resuming programming in November, we've seen our favorite Biyahero explore places near Metro Manila such as Maragondon in Cavite, Nasugbu in Batangas, and Doña Remedios Trinidad in Bulacan, among others.
So it's only a matter of time before the Biyahe ni Drew team sets its sights on the country's Culinary Capital - the lovely province of Pampanga!
This Friday's episode of Biyahe ni Drew visits this province north of Manila, known for its rich food culture, Lenten traditions, Mount Pinatubo, and an array of natural spots with some of them rarely explored.
Drew, of course, wastes no time and quickly dives into the province's well-known delicacy.
Aling Lucing Sisig, the three-decade eatery, is on top of Drew's busy Pampanga itinerary.
Drew wants to experience Aling Lucing's very famous sisig dish and find out why it continues to be a hit among local and foreign foodies.

Aling Lucing, whose full name was Lucia Lagman Cunanan, is credited for inventing the sisig dish that we all love today.
Dubbed as the “Sisig Queen,” Aling Lucing's chef-d'oeuvre would further cement Pampanga's place in the culinary map, not just domestically but also internationally. It also gave the province another title it could be proud of: Sisig Capital of the Philippines.
Drew also takes a bite on Pampanga's other distinct delicacy such as cheese bread and various rice cakes, or as what we fondly call it, kakanin.

Meanwhile, Drew's cooking skills are put to the test as he tries his hand to make the oddly named but delicious, paksiw demonyo.
A bit of trivia: Paksiw demonyo is dubbed as the “poor man's paksiw.” Stories said that poor families would whip up the quick dish, using available vegetables instead of fish to get by.

Soaking in the Pampanga outdoors, Drew ventures to El Kabayo. The horse stables facility gives Drew the chance to explore the rugged and natural stunning sceneries while on a horse. It's the perfect way to appreciate parts of the province while chilling and on a horse no less.

The province of Pampanga is among the destinations that were given the green light to open by the Department of Tourism (DOT) after months of lockdown due to the pandemic.

However, it is very much advised to coordinate first with the local government to find out more about the places that are open to visitors, as well as the health and safety protocols in place to avoid inconvenience.
Catch Biyahe ni Drew on its new and earlier timeslot of 5:45 p.m. this coming Friday, January 28, on GMA News TV.
