Latest list names this Philippine hotel as one of the world's best

The five-star luxury hotel, The Peninsula Manila, is one of the world's best hotels according to a latest survey.

The Travel+Leisure's World's Best Awards Survey 2021 ranks the hotel 25th with a score of 98.40 out of the 100 hotels from around the world.

“A grande dame in the center of Manila's business district, this opulent hotel has 497 rooms and suites, eight restaurants and bars, a spa and fitness center, and an outdoor pool surrounded by tropical gardens. The staff are always at the ready, whether it's helping with sightseeing or room service,” the accompanying article said about the luxury hotel.

The Peninsula Manila is tied at the 25th spot with Four Seasons Hotel Istanbul at Sultanahmet.

“Hotels were rated on their facilities, location, service, food, and overall value. Properties were classified as city or resort based on their locations and amenities,” Travel+Leisure explained the list.

Topping the list is Mahali Mzuri in Kenya followed by Nayara Tented Camp in Arenal Volcano National Park in Costa Rica, while The Opposite House in Beijing, China takes the third spot.

Rounding up the top 10 are Capella Bangkok in Thailand; Capella Ubod in Bali, Indonesia; Grace Hotel, Auberge Resorts Collection in Santorini, Greece; Kamalame Cay, Andros Island in Bahamas; The Oberoi Udaivilas, Udaipur in India; The Temple House, Chengdu in China; and The Oberoi, New Delhi in India.
