Joey de Leon is just like the rest of us -- he misses traveling too
Eat Bulaga Dabarkad Joey de Leon looks to be in the same boat as the rest of us stuck at home due to the global coronavirus pandemic.
In a throwback post on his Instagram account showing him in Hong Kong en route to Paris, Joey processed his cabin fever by making naughty acronyms. In the caption, he says he missed “Trabaho, Ipon, Travel, Enjoy.”
But with the pandemic grounding most flights for most of last year and limiting travel for most of this year, not a lot of people have been able to travel, no matter how much money they've saved.
Just like the rest of us, Joey now wishes “Pandemya Wala na, Empake, Travel na!” He even seems to welcome the new normal that now comes with the possibility of traveling, noting that airplane announcements may now include “Fasten your face masks please!”
Joey's Instagram followers shared their amusement at Joey's naughty acronyms, peppering the comments section with laughing emojis.
Joey isn't just giving his followers something to laugh about. He has also been using his Instagram account to encourage people to get the COVID-19 vaccine, even posting a jingle inspired by the Christmas song "Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer.”
