Ready for your first staycation once Metro Manila is placed under Alert Level 3? Check out these authorized hotels.

It's been a while since residents in Metro Manila have gone on a staycation. And if you've been itching to step out of the house to spend some fun and relaxing time, even just in nearby hotels, your wish will soon be granted as Metro Manila shifts to Alert Level 3 starting October 16, Saturday.

Under Alert Level 3, staycations will finally be allowed for people of all ages at 100 percent operational capacity in accredited hotels.

However, to ensure everyone's safety only fully vaccinated guests are encouraged to book staycations.

Unvaccinated guests would first need to present a negative RT-PCR test result to be able to go on a staycation, and it should be submitted not more than 48 hours before check-in.

If you're planning to book a staycation as soon as Metro Manila is placed under Alert Level 3, make sure your hotel has been issued with a Certificate of Authority for Staycation by the Department of Tourism (DOT).

Check out the list of DOT-accredited hotels in Metro Manila shared on DOT's Facebook page yesterday, for a hassle-free staycation under Alert Level 3.
