Mikee Quintos loses passport during trip to South Korea
Mikee Quintos had no choice but to extend her vacation in South Korea for few more days after finding out the she lost her passport when she and her family were about to go home.
In a vlog titled "Lesson Learned," the former The Lost Recipe actress detailed the incident how she lost her passport during her first trip to South Korea.
On its description, she said, "I had to learn the hard way, I guess."
The Mano Po Legacy: The Flower Sisters star gave more details on the 26-minute vlog on her Youtube channel.
“Nawawala passport ko. Lumipad na yung plane, naiwan na'ko. May taping ako bukas, 5:30 am,” she said.
She explained that her mom packed her bags while she was out because they had to check out of the hotel already.
“I was so ready to fix my things. Pag-akyat ko ng room, nililinis na yung kwarto at wala na lahat ng gamit ko, so hindi ko na na-check yung passport ko,” she added.
The next day, Mikee had to go to the Philippine Embassy and the police station to file a police report, which is one of the requirements for getting a new passport.
“I'm really hoping na makauwi kami soon. We booked a hotel up until Tuesday lang,” she said.
Aside from the English-translated police report, other requirements also include a printed soft copy of her lost passport, the details of her Korean Visa, four 2x2 pictures, a photocopy of her IDs, and a ticket to the Philippines.
“Kailangan din yung ticket pabalik ng Pilipinas para ma-approve at mapirmahan yung mga kailangang documents at makakauwi na,” she said.
She added that “Things are better.”
Once she's back in the Philippines, Mikee had to prepare the documents she needs to get a new passport.
Due to the unfortunate experience in South Korea, Mikee had to cancel some work in the Philippines.
“I hope natuto kayo and I hope nakita nyo na napakamaling mawalan ng passport. Don't make the same mistakes I did,” she said.
Despite this, Mikee thinks it's a blessing in disguise and that she just needs to trust in God's plans.
