Alden Richards feels proud of his directorial debut film 'Out of Order'

Alden Richards admits that stepping into the director's chair wasn't easy. That's why he feels relieved and proud now that his directorial debut film, titled 'Out of Order,' is finally set to stream on Netflix starting October 2.
“Mahirap siya kasi wala naman ako talagang formal [training],” the Asia's Multimedia told GMANetwork.com and other entertainment media before the premiere of Out of Order last Sunday, September 28.
He continued, “At the same time, all of the things I've done there came from my knowledge of the previous directors that I've worked with in the past.
“Yung isang director ko, si Direk Dom [Dominic Zapata], sabi ko sa kanya, 'Direk, marami kang makikita rito na shots na inspired by you. So, let me know kung ano 'yun.'”
Aside from being its director, Alden also portrayed the main character in the movie. He also acted as one of its producers under his company Myriad Entertainment, in partnership with Viva Film and Studio Viva.
When asked if he felt nervous about working on Out of Order, Alden said, “Very much. Aside from directing, I was also acting in the film and serving as producer.”
He further noted, “So, ang number one trabaho ng producer is make the budget work. In all of those things, I'm overlooking and overseeing all of that. It was really taxing, actually. Pero sobrang fulfilling 'yung experience, na kahit paano nairaos namin siya as a team.”
Despite these challenges, Alden has become even more motivated to create more films.
“This won't be the last definitely,” he said.
Before streaming on Netflix, Out of Order was screened at the 3rd Da Nang Asian Film Festival in Vietnam last June. It will also be part of the 2025 Jagran Film Festival in India in November.
