Alden Richards fulfills his dream as he begins training to become a pilot

Alden Richards has fulfilled his childhood dream and officially begun his journey to become a pilot.
According to Nelson Canlas' "Chika Minute" report on 24 Oras yesterday, July 30, Alden has started his training as a flight school student under the name Cadet Richard Faulkerson.
This marks a major shift from his life as a movie and TV star, and serves as the first step in reclaiming a childhood dream that he let go of nearly a decade ago.
Alden said in the interview, “I've always been so curious paano lumilipad ng ganu'n kalaki at kabigat na sasakyang panghimpapawid. Tapos of course, how it's being navigated sa langit, ganiyan, from point A to point B, paano nakakarating, paano nag-take-off.”
During his flight school induction ceremony, Alden Richards shared that after 15 years in showbiz, he now wants to pursue his personal dreams.
For Alden, becoming a pilot is more than just an ambition.
“Since nagkaroon ako ng isip sa mundo, parang meron akong core objective to fulfill my parents' dreams na hindi nila natupad in their lifetime. And surprisingly, kagaya ng showbiz para sa nanay ko, for me, ito naman, dream ni dad for himself, pero eventually, nagustuhan ko na rin,” he said.
GMA Integrated News also accompanied Asia's Multimedia Star throughout his full day at the flight school in Pampanga, from the classroom to the hangar and the runway.
Alden also got a glimpse of what it's like to be in a real cockpit as he tried a flight simulator, where he experienced real-life flight scenarios such as turbulence, from take-off to mid-flight and landing.
“There's no such thing as a busy schedule when you make time and you have time management. Time management is the key. Definitely, this year for ground school, and then tuluy-tuloy na 'to. This will be a two-year course, and after I graduate, I'm going to be able to fly a commercial plane,” he said.
