Alfred Vargas vows to fight on after dismissal of bullying complaint: 'Hindi pa tapos ang laban'

Quezon City Councilor Alfred Vargas took to social media once again, this time following reports that his complaint against the family of his son's alleged bully had been dismissed.
On Facebook, Alfred Vargas released a statement saying that he and his family would respect the legal process and its outcome.
"We have been informed about the decision of the prosecutor. While we have yet to receive the official decision, we say with certainty that we respect the law and due process and we will continue to do so regardless of the outcome," he wrote.
Alfred Vargas yet added that they would continue pursuing legal remedies in defense of their child.
"In the same light, due process allows us to seek legal remedies. We will exert all available legal avenues to pursue justice for our child. Hindi pa po dito nagtatapos ang laban. Thank you for all your prayers."
Last April 13, Alfred Vargas and his wife, Yasmine, filed a criminal complaint against the parents of a minor who allegedly bullied and physically harmed their son during swimming training sessions.
The complaint alleges a pattern of behavior in which the respondents' minor child repeatedly and allegedly submerged their son in the pool. The couple claimed these incidents occurred multiple times despite efforts to raise the issue and request that the child's parents intervene.
On April 20, the couple also filed complaints for 20 counts of cyber libel against individuals behind what they described as persistent online attacks and “maling paratang” directed at their household.
Meanwhile, Rob Sy said he received a resolution from the Office of the City Prosecutor of Manila stating that the complaint filed by Alfred against their family had been dismissed.
