After being embroiled in a third-party controvery, basketball player Ricci Rivero confirmed his breakup with Kapamilya actress Andrea Brillantes.
In a tweet, Ricci apologized and asked for privacy at the same time.
"I own up to the mistake of not making my relationship status public because I felt there's no need to add up to what were going through," he wrote.
"Please respect our decision to keep it to ourselves so that we can preserve whats left of our friendship. I hope let's stop creating your own versions and dragging other characters into these false accusations.
"I am sorry for whatever disappointments it may have caused you - for everyone's peace of mind, please allow ourselves to heal and move on peacefully without hate and pain."
Their relationship has been in the public eye since Ricci's on-court proposal to Andrea after his UAAP game. The two also became a trending topic after Andrea had a "promposal" for Ricci during the concert of the Korean girl group BLACKPINK at the Philippine Arena.
