Angela Bofill, 'This Time I'll Be Sweeter' singer, dies at 70

Hollywood singer Angela Bofill died at the age of 70, her manager confirmed on the singer's Facebook page.
The "This Time I'll Be Sweeter" singer died on the morning of June 13 (US time), Rich Engel, her manager, wrote on Facebook.
"On behalf of my dear friend Angie, I am saddened to announce her passing on the morning of June 13th. The funeral will be held at St. Dominick's Church in Valejo CA on June 28th at 1:00 p.m.," the post read.
After a few hours, a follow up was posted which read, "Just to clear up the confusion. On behalf of Shauna Bofill, husband Chris Portuguese, we are saddened but must report that the passing of Angela yesterday is indeed true."
Angela was behind several '70s and '80s hits including "Tonight I Give In", "Break It To Me Gently", and "You Should Know By Now", just to name a few.
In 1983, Angela appeared in the Filipino movie, Friends in Love, starring Sharon Cuneta, where she sang her hit song "This Time I'll Be Sweeter".
Angela suffered a stroke on January 10, 2006 that left her left side paralyzed. She needed speech and physical theatry after being released from intensive care of Sutter Hospital in Santa Rosa, California.
In 2006, Angela released her first and only live album, titled Live from Manila, that was recorded in Merk's Bistro.
