Atty. Joji Alonso slams death hoax about Chanda Romero: 'Very much alive po'

Lawyer and film producer Josabeth " Joji" Alonso took to social media to debunk fake news about veteran actress Chanda Romero.
In a Facebook post, the attorney revealed that the Espantaho star became the latest victim of an online death hoax.
"The person who posted this is the same person who posted that Michael de Mesa passed, which we all know is NOT true," she wrote, sharing screenshots of the false report.
"I don't understand why people make up stories like these? Sana i-post n'yo na lang na kayo ang namatay!"
Atty. Joji ended her post with a reassuring update, "Chanda is very much alive po, and happy and content."
Aside from being a lawyer, Joji Alonso is also an active film producer under Quantum Films. She's also behind notable works such as Espantaho (2024), Secret Ingredient (2024), and Ten Little Mistresses (2023).
Meanwhile, Chanda Romero remains one of the most respected and versatile actresses in the Philippine entertainment industry. She's known for her compelling performances in both heroine and villain roles.
This year, will be part of Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF) again via Vice Ganda-led movie titled Call Me Mother.
