In her self-love era, Barbie Forteza proves that heartbreaks are not always sad as she reflects on her seven-year relationship with fellow Kapuso star Jak Roberto.
The Kapuso actress opened up about her heartbreak, healing journey, and how she rediscovered herself during her interview on Toni Talks.
During their sit-down, host Toni Gonzaga asked Barbie how she had been healing after her long-term relationship came to an end.
"Masaya, e. Masaya, smooth yung transition." Barbie answered with enthusiasm, showing just how at peace she is now.
She added, "Wasn't as painful as some people painted it to be."
After her straightforward answer, Barbie followed it up with a lighthearted joke, "It wasn't actually. Ewan ko rin sa kanila paano ba yung ginamit nila, ewan ko din."
She shared that "it just goes to show how healthy the relationship" was, as they both mutually agreed to part ways to focus on their individual growth.
"It was a good run, definitely," she added, referring to her 7-year relationship with Jak.
The Beauty Empire actress also opened up about the valuable lessons she learned during her long-term relationship.
"Always make time for yourself. Always make time to spend it with yourself. Magkaroon ka ng me time para din may sarili kang identity, makilala mo yung sarili mo outside the relationship even if you are in a relationship. Para ikaw din sa sarili mo, naggo-grow ka kahit nasa isa kang relasyon," she said.
Despite being in her self-love era, Barbie shared that she is still open to love and entertaining suitors.
The Kapuso actress has been embracing her self-love era by visiting coffee shops with a book in hand and staying active by running.
Recently, Barbie and Jak were spotted on good terms during the Beyond 75: The GMA 75th Anniversary Special on June 28.
Barbie and Jak officially announced their breakup on January 2, 2025.
