Bianca Umali in The Write One

Kapuso star Bianca Umali has proven to be one of the best-dressed actresses of her generation thanks to her longstanding collaboration with stylist John Paul Dizon.

John Paul once again stepped up as he also served as Bianca's stylist for her GMA Telebabad series The Write One.

According to John Paul, his choices for Bianca's character Joyce and her showbiz alter ego Savana draws inspiration from Hollywood actress Zendaya and celebrity host Anne Curtis.

"Both Zendaya and Anne, pinaka walang rules when it comes to dressing up--puwedeng sweet, puwedeng high fashion, fierce-looking. No limits. Possible lahat," he shared in an exclusive interview with GMANetwork.com.

He also added that 'The Write One' has given him and Bianca freedom to explore more looks. As such, he wants viewers to be intrigued by outfits of Joyce and Savana.

"I used a lot of tailored pieces sa show na ito, influences from my mentor Joey Samson. I mixed din men's clothing and women's clothing with Bianca. Genderless. No rules to follow. I think this is my first time na nag-style ako ng serye na marami akong designers na naka-work like Roel Rosal, Patty Valle, Joe San Antonio, Jaggy Glarino, Arwin Meriales, and Marian Zara," John Paul said.

He is also glad that Bianca is very versatile and can carry any style of clothing.

"What I like about Bianca is kapag may naisip ako na outfit for her, biglang lumalabas 'yung character na gusto kong lumabas for her. If I style her with men's outfit, maangas agad 'yung character na ilalabas nya. If I give her something sexy, automatic 'yung tayo niya, nag-iiba," he explained.
