Carla Abellana has finally confirmed details of her current love life.
In an exclusive interview with GMA Integrated News during the GMA Gala 2025, the Widows' War actress confirmed that she's now happily seeing someone new.
"I've said it naman na before na parang it's about time I open myself to dating, meeting new people. So I decided to try it," Carla shared.
The Kapuso actress couldn't help but smile as she also added, "There's a second date. We'll see if there's gonna be more dates."
This update followed Carla's previous statement in May, in which she said she was ready to give love a second chance. In an interview with Julius Babao, she shared her cautious yet hopeful outlook on dating again.
Carla also shared that after her previous heartbreak, she has become more careful and discerning when it comes to dating.
"Honest, may respeto, wala pong tinatagong kahit anong bagay at tsaka mabait. Simple lang, integrity at 'tsaka mabait," she highlighted.
Carla was married to actor Tom Rodriguez in October 2021. The couple finalized their divorce in June 2022. After a year, Carla announced she had finally moved on.
Look back on her interview on Fast Talk With Boy Abunda here:
"It comes with the pain, heartbreak.
Because kumbaga everything was so shocking, so abrupt, so instant na parang I couldn't comprehend. hindi ko po ma-figure out why."
Ayon kay Carla, ang kaniyang natutunan sa naranasang failed marriage ay "kapag hindi na po tama or too much already, hindi na po dapat ipilit pa."
Masaya na raw si Carla ngayon.
"It was a difficult journey to get to this point, but yes.
"No, medyo ano pa po e I mean it doesn't just leave your head, your heart, even the body po e naaalala pa rin po. Lalo na kasi it wasn't so long ago."
We haven't spoken since, hindi pa po kami nagkikita or nag-uusap."
Life is so short, if you hold on to anger, it will just ruin you, it will manifest sa health.
"I won't say anything.
Sagot ni Carla, "Hindi ko po masyadong iniisip especially with the amount of work that we have and the very little time that we have for ourselves to rest, to recover, for personal matters.
"Stronger, wiser, and medyo contradictory pero vulnerable at the same time."
