Cassy Legaspi at Darren Espanto, handog ang 'When I Met You in Tokyo' sa CassRen fans

Sa wakas ang dumating na ang pinakahihintay ng fans nina Cassy Legaspi at Darren Espanto, ang magkasama sila sa isang movie project.
Sa pamamagitan ng When I Met You in Tokyo, isa sa official entries ng 2023 Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF), magkakasama ang CassRen love team sa kanilang kauna-unahang movie project.
“We both wanted to do it kasi, siyempre, ang tagal na rin namin gustong magkaroon ng project together aside from endorsements. Pero ito, isang totoong project na siya, pelikula na, and it's actually official-like CassRen project,” sabi ni Darren sa ginanap na media conference ng pelikula kamakailan.
Para naman kay Cassy, “I am very thankful. I guess, I will count this as our first official CassRen project. Hopefully, more to come because I really love working with Darren.
“I think we owe it to our fans kasi naghintay sila for nine years. They've been patient with us for nine years. I think they deserve a CassRen project, so baka naman…”
Ayon sa dalawang actors, naging madali na ang pagsabak nila sa pag-arte sa pelikulang When I Met You in Tokyo dahil lubos na nilang kilala ang isa't isa.
Paliwanag ni Darren, “Siyempre, kilala na po namin ang isa't isa before pa. 'Tapos during the pandemic, you only have social media to be able to connect with your friends. Cassy was really one of the people I was able to connect during that time. That definitely had a big part to play and it added up to where we are today.”
Dagdag naman ni Cassy, “ We know each other so well kasi in a way we grew up together. Yun nga, because we know each other so well and we accept each other's flaws, so I guess everything comes naturally.
“We don't like to act kasi the more you act, the more na nawawala yung totoong chemistry, which the people want to see. I just want to say that I'm very lucky with Darren because I don't have to act, so everything is way easier for me.”

Samantala, sa naturang press conference ay inihalintulad ni Star for All Seasons Vilma Santos ang tambalang Darren at Cassy sa tambalan nila ni Christopher de Leon.
Sa katunayan, payo pa ng batikang aktres sa kanila, “Kapag sineryoso n'yo 'yan kasi, ang ganda ng chemistry ninyong dalawa. You just have to hone it, you know, the acting, the experiences, the movies.”
Komento naman ni Cassy, “Nakaka-pressure naman po.”
Ganito rin ang naging reaksiyon ni Darren sabay sabing, “Thank you. Marami pa kaming kakaining bigas. But of course, it's such an honor na nanggaling po yung kay Ms. Vilma.”
Sa pagkakataong ito, natanong na rin sina Darren at Cassy tungkol sa tunay na estado ng kanilang relasyon.
Maiksing sagot ni Darren, "Ilang interviews na ang nasagot namin tungkol diyan and the answer has always been 'yes' naman… kung 'more than friends' na."
