Miss Universe 2018 Catriona Gray, actors Cristine Reyes, Marco Gumabao, and Dominic Roque, declared their faith in God by receiving the sacrament of baptism. These celebrities underwent water baptism administered by Favor Church.
In an Instagram post on June 23, the Filipina-Australian shared photos from the special moment with her fellow church mates. In her captions, she started with, "A new beginning with Jesus. Glory to God always."
Catriona happily continued, "So fulfilled to take the step of publicly declaring my faith today. I was baptized as a baby, but wanted to take this action as an adult. So thankful to the community and family that Favor Church Manila is. Thank you, God for never ceasing in the pursuit of my heart."
To conclude her message, the beauty queen quoted a memorable Bible verse from Romans 6:4, "For we died and were buried with Christ by baptism. And just as Christ was raised from the dead by the glorious power of the Father, now we also may live new lives."
Meanwhile, celebrity couple Cristine and Marco certainly put God at the center of their relationship.
In an Instagram post, Cristine said, "I know that God has always been in my heart. I'm not perfect, but I try my best to follow His will. I feel like now is the right time to share this belief with everyone. I really feel it in my soul, and even though I know there will be obstacles, I want to let Him guide my life because I know that His presence is the only certainty in this world."
In a separate post, Marco declared about his second baptism, "Now that I am once again baptised in Christ, the old ways are gone, and the new has come. I publicly declare my faith in Him and will always put God in the center in ALL aspects of my life. I don't know the plans or purpose He has for my future, but one thing is for sure, I will be ready for it and I will trust Him! Wherever God calls me, I will make sure that His name will forever be glorified through my life. From darkness into light, submerged in faith and covered by grace."
