Many of today's most seasoned actors were once showbiz youngsters. Back then, they hoped and dreamed to be big stars and they too went through their teenybopper years that fans from the '80s and '90s loved and adored.
The past decades were equally a fantastic time to become a teen star. It was a period sans social media and television was the primary platform for stardom. There was no Facebook or Instagram or Twitter where fans could directly reach out to their idols, in the same manner that controversies don't spread like wildfire in seconds.
Because of their perceived inaccessibility, they were seen to be larger than life, hence, seeing a celebrity in person back then would feel like winning a lottery.
