Filipino TV series almost always had one thing in common: love teams. From big hits like Marian Rivera and Dingdong Dantes to young stars today like Ashley Sarmiento and Marco Masa.
While artists grew out of their love teams, others have taken it to the next level and made their relationships in real life, too, and even end up in marriage. While celebrity couples would sometimes try not to work with their partners to not lock themselves, others love to work with their significant others to make their scenes look natural.
Dingdong and Marian are one of the couples who loved working together. They first worked together as co-actors in the Pinoy adaptation of Mexicanovela Marimar (2007). After more than a decade, fans still get excited to see them together in a project. In 2023, they led the cast of the Metro Manila Film Fest entry 'Rewind.' They also starred in two-season sitcom 'Jose & Maria's Bonggang Villa.'
Recently, Kapuso couple Dennis Trillo and Jennylyn Mercado announced that they will be working together in a movie titled 'Everything About My Wife.' Likewise, after the Kapuso Ultimate's Star's contract renewal with GMA, she announced that she and her husband would be doing an action-drama series.
