The much-awaited musical adaptation of the 1984 film Bagets finally arrived in Philippine theater stage in January.
To celebrate its initial success, Bagets The Musical held a special gala night on January 29, where celebrities and personalities showed their support for the new generation of talents, giving life to the hit 80s film.
Bagets The Musical stars Andres Muhlach and Mico Chua as Adie, KD Estrada and Ethan David as Arnel, Noel Comia Jr. and Tomas Rodriguez as Gilbert, Milo Cruz and Migo Valid as Tonton, and Sam Shoaf and Sparkle artist Jeff Moses as Topee.
It runs until March at the Newport Performing Arts Theater.

GMA Network and Sparkle executives attended the gala night to show support for Jeff Moses, who plays the role of Topee. Present at the event were GMA Network Senior Vice President Atty. Annette Gozon-Valdes, Sparkle Senior Talent Manager Ms. Tracy Garcia, GMA Network Vice President for Musical Variety, Specials, and Alternative Productions for Entertainment Group Ms. Gigi Santiago-Lara, Sparkle Assistant Vice President for Talent Recruitment and Development Ms. Jenny Donato, and Sparkle Senior Admin and Finance Manager Ms. Maricar Quizon.
Veterans and the OG cast of the 1984 film, including Herbert Bautista, Eula Valdez, Yayo Aguila, Cheska Iñigo, and Raymond Lauchengo, were at the event.
Raymond Lauchencho, who played the role of Arnel in the original film, also showed support for Bagets The Musical.
SB19's Justin, Maki, and KAIA's Sophia were among the attendees of the gala night.

Eula Valdez and Yayo Aguila also showed support for the hit musical. They portrayed Janice and Rose in the original film.
Eula Valdez's character, Janice, was Arnel's love interest.
Members of the P-Pop boy group ALAMAT showed support for Tomas, who plays the role of Gilbert.
