BTS member J-Hope surprised his fans with an update from the military.
On July 8, he posted pictures from his time serving as an assistant instructor for new recruits in his training center, located in Wonju, Gangwon Province.
He wrote, "ARMY!! How have you been? It's a good weekend. I have been serving as an assistant instructor for new recruits after completing a course for assistant instructors at the 36th Infantry Division Recruit Training Center. I didn't have the time to update you all because I have been so busy daily, as expected."
J-Hope, "I wanted to keep you posted even if it's short so here I am. I couldn't help thinking about j-hope around this time last year as I served in this hot July weather. These two are completely different sides of me but I feel my passionate heart for the future stays the same!"
"I wanted to let you all know that I am living as Jung Ho-seok and J-Hope whenever and wherever I am haha. ARMYs please stay cool ~~And stay dry~~~ I wish everyone including the new recruits good health! Salute!"

J-Hope enlisted for mandatory military service on April 18, 2023.
He completed basic training in May 2023.
J-Hope is currently an active-duty soldier for the 36th Infantry Division.
He recently fulfilled a role as an assistant instructor for new military recruits after finishing a course for assistant instructors at the 36th Infantry Division Recruit Training Center.
J-Hope showed off his new look in the military uniform.
He will be discharged on October 17th, 2024.
