'Eternal Love' star Yu Menglong dies at 37 after falling from building

Family, friends, and fans mourn the sudden passing of Chinese actor Yu Menglong.
On Thursday (September 11), the actor's official studio released a heartbreaking statement on Weibo, confirming the tragic news.
“We are deeply saddened to inform everyone that our beloved Menglong passed away after a fall on Thursday. According to the police investigation, criminality has been ruled out. May the deceased rest in peace, and may the living remain strong,” Yu Menglong Studio wrote.
Prior to the confirmation, rumors about the actor falling from a building had already circulated widely on Weibo. Some outlets reported that a user first mentioned the incident, claiming Menglong had dinner with friends the night before (September 10).
At this writing, no further details have been released, and Menglong's family and team have yet to issue additional statements.

Yu Menglong passed away at the age of 37.
He first gained fame in 2013 when he joined the Chinese singing competition Super Boy. His charm and talent quickly opened doors in acting, leading him to star in several well-loved C-dramas. Among his most notable works were Go Princess, Go! (2015), Eternal Love (2017), Wenderella's Diary (2023), and Love Game in Eastern Fantasy (2024).
