'Crash Landing on You' (CLOY) co-stars Hyun Bin and Son Ye-jin, fondly called BinJin by their fans, have announced their journey to marriage on Thursday, February 10.
Both veteran actors in their own right, the couple has endeavored flourishing careers before they first crossed paths. However, Hyun Bin and Ye-jin's story began long before their 'CLOY' characters Ri Jeong-hyeok and Yoon Se-ri fell in love.

Unknown to some fans, Ye-jin did a special appearance in Hyun Bin's 2011 South Korean drama 'Secret Garden.'
The pair, however, did not meet on set since she only graced the show on its last episode.
Hyun Bin and Ye-jin finally crossed paths when they attended the Bucheon International Fantastic Film Festival (PiFan). The scene-stealer pair sat next to each other and both earned recognition for Producer's Choice Awards.
In May 2017, Hyun Bin and Ye-jin were sealed to top-bill the crime thriller film 'The Negotiation.'
After more than a year of working on their first-ever project together, the movie finally premiered and was met with a great amount of impressive feedback.
In a report by Soompi, it was revealed that Hyun Bin initially decided to work on the film because Ye-jin was doing it as well.
Ye-jin, on the other hand, explained why she accepted the casting offer during the film's press conference, saying, “The fact that Hyun Bin was positively reviewing the script for 'The Negotiation' was the deciding factor in my decision. I was surprised when I heard that he was looking at the role. It was different from the image Hyun Bin has shown as an actor so far. I thought it was great that he was using this role to take on a bold challenge.”
Their brilliant performance in 'The Negotiation' captivated many viewers, enough to have them wishing for more projects involving the two stars.
Rumors about their romance then sparked after Hyun Bin and Ye-jin began spending more time with each other while promoting the film.
In 2019, an online post claimed that the couple was traveling together in Los Angeles. All the speculations were shut down when the actor's agency clarified that they were not traveling together, noting that Hyun Bin was only in the United States “for business and his personal schedule.”
Twelve days later, they were spotted on a grocery run together which fueled the rumors anew. His agency cleared this issue again, saying, "We checked with him personally, and the dating rumors are not true. He heard earlier that Son Ye-jin is currently in the United States, so they met up together with acquaintances and went grocery shopping together, but it seems like this was misrepresented. There were other acquaintances with them at the grocery store."
A few months after, Hyun Bin and Ye-jin were confirmed to star in a South Korean drama that later became a global sensation. Together with the writer of hit series 'My Love from the Star' and 'The Legend of the Blue Sea,' the pair brought tvN's 'Crash Landing on You' into remarkable success.
In a press conference prior to the drama's release, Ye-jin opened up about seeing their reunion as a work of fate. “It's rare for actors to meet again in another project so I think this is fate. Hyun Bin is flawlessly suited to his character in the drama. Our chemistry, too.”
Hyun Bin and Ye-jin, who were fondly dubbed BinJin by their fans, exhibited skyrocketing chemistry both on-screen and off-screen.
During the 56th Baeksang Arts Awards, the couple cemented their claim on the TikTok Popularity award for their phenomenal performance in 'Crash Landing on You.'
In true Dispatch tradition, the South Korean news group welcomed 2021 with news that Hyun Bin and Ye-jin have officially taken their on-screen romance into real life.
The couple's agencies later confirmed the news, saying, “After the end of their drama, they developed an interest in each other and ended up dating.”
Ye-jin also turned to her personal Instagram page to announce their relationship. "The New Year was bright. Why am I so embarrassed to stand in front of you with my personal story rather than work for the first time...Yes, that's what happened…I'm so grateful I met a good person and going forth, I'll put in the effort to do well. I'm always keeping everyone's love and support in my heart. I hope more good things will happen in the new year. Stay health, bbyong.”
More than a year later, Hyun Bin and Ye-jin announced their plans to tie the knot. The latter bared the news in an Instagram post along with a photo of a miniature bridal gown.
“I thought long and hard about how to share this story because it's an important one. I found someone to spend the rest of my life with. Yes, it's him. Boy meets girl, recognizes each other in the crowd, promises to build a future together. I couldn't imagine! It happened so naturally…But, isn't that destiny? Just being with him, I feel warm and protected. Please help us celebrate the beginning of our future,” she wrote in the caption.
Hyun Bin also confirmed their engagement via his agency VAST Entertainment's Instagram page.
“I am writing this to inform you about the most important decision of my life - to my fans who have been kind to me in many ways and have given me great care and love. There are people who guessed, right? Yes. I made an important decision to get married and I'm going to carefully step into the second phase of my life.”
He also vowed to emulate the love shared by their Crash Landing on You characters in their real-life romance. “Promised with her she always makes me smile. To walk together through the coming days. I'm going to show an excerpt from Jeong-hyuk and Se-ri who were together in the work. I think you'll cheer for our first steps with the warmth and affection you've sent us so far.”
