Cristine Reyes mourns adoptive father's death

Actress Cristine Reyes turned emotional as she shared the heartbreaking news of her adoptive father's passing.
On Instagram, the actress shared a heartfelt tribute to her adoptive father, Demetrio Pascual, featuring a mini vlog titled "Life with Daddy Metreng."
In the video, Cristine visits the home of her Daddy Metreng in Santolan, Manila, where she also spent her childhood years. She even playfully teased her adoptive father, asking him to say in front of the camera, "Ako ang pinakamabait mong anak-anakan."
Cristine's adoptive father pointed at her and said, "Ito ang pinakamabait at pinakamagaling kong anak."
She shared that this video is the last memory of her Daddy Metreng that she will treasure forever.
"Ang ating huling salo-salo sa ating munting tahanan na punong-puno ng masasayang alaala. Ang iyong huling ngiti at halakhak dito ang palagi kong aalalahanin, daddy," she wrote.
Cristine added, "Sorry kung hindi ko na kinaya makita ka sa ospital. Pinagsisisihan ko na hindi kita nahagkan sa iyong huling hininga."
However, the actress said that even though they are heartbroken right now, they know that her Daddy Metreng is already at peace.
Cristine also expressed that she will never forget her adoptive father and that even the word "Salamat" is not enough to show her gratitude.
"Bagkos ako'y lubos at taos-pusong nagpa-pasalamat sa pag-busog mo sa akin, sa amin ng pagmamahal, pag-gabay at pag-aruga. Napaka-swerte namin lahat sa'yo sa lahat ng binigay mo na walang katumbas na halaga." she explained.
Remembering her Daddy Metreng, she said, "Ikaw ang tunay naming kayamanan."
"Rest in peace, Daddy Metreng. Daddy Yow. Lolo Dad," she continued. "Love and light, always!"
