Danielle breaks silence after NewJeans exit: 'I fought until the very end to [stay]'

Former NewJeans member Danielle has finally broken her silence following her departure from the girl group.
Weeks after leaving the agency ADOR, the artist held an emotional livestream on her newly launched personal Instagram account.
During the session, Danielle connected with fans as she expressed her continued affection for Bunnies and her former group.
“I've had to learn a lot and protect a lot during this time. My view of the world and how I see my family have changed,” Danielle said, according to The Korea Herald.
She went on to express her gratitude for the unwavering support she has received from fans.
“When I think of Bunnies, the first thing that comes to mind is your eyes — the way we locked eyes on stage, the feeling that our hearts stayed connected even when the music stopped. Those memories are what quietly hold me up now,” she shared.
"Sometimes late at night, I would read the letters and the messages you sent me. Not loudly, but just enough. That warmth stays with me for a really long time."
Danielle also revealed that she has written a letter for her supporters, which she hopes they will be able to read someday. However, she noted that her current situation is "still in the process of being resolved."
“Many things are still being sorted out, and when the time comes, I will update you all about what's happening, about the lawsuit and about all the things you're curious about," she stated.
Addressing her departure from NewJeans, Danielle emphasized her efforts to remain with the group.
"And this, I can say clearly. I fought 'till the very end to be together with the members. And that truth stays with me. NewJeans will always be a part of my heart — each member, with sincerity. Though we'll be in different places from now on, I'll continue supporting them as one of the Bunnies.”
The livestream concluded with a message of hope.
“Bunnies, this is not the end. It's the beginning,” Danielle told fans. “In the days ahead, whether through music or through small moments, I want to share things that are truthful and beautiful with you, in the way I know how.”
Danielle officially left NewJeans last December after the group's agency, ADOR, terminated her contract. The company explained that the decision followed a prolonged breakdown in trust and unresolved disagreements linked to the months-long contract dispute that has strained relations between the members and the company.
ADOR further stated that it plans to take legal action against a member of Danielle's family as well as former ADOR CEO Min Hee-jin, whom the company holds responsible for triggering the conflict that ultimately led to Danielle's departure.
NewJeans debuted in 2022 under HYBE sub-label ADOR with members Minji, Hanni, Danielle, Haerin, and Hyein. The group is known for their hit songs such as “Attention,” “Hype Boy,” and “Super Shy.”
