Derek Ramsay chooses silence on Ellen Adarna issue: 'Ayoko na ma-misunderstood'

After months of staying away from the public eye, Derek Ramsay finally opened up about the speculations and allegations surrounding him.
In an interview with Morly Alinio, Derek was asked about his reaction to being portrayed as the “villain” amid Ellen Adarna's series of allegations.
The actor chose not to delve into details, saying "No comment" and "I'm at peace."
"Out of respect sa [mga tao involved in that situation] ayoko magsalita tungkol doon sa situation na 'yan. Ayoko na ma-misunderstood. I just want to keep my mouth shut," he said.
The actor admitted that the period took an emotional toll on him, describing it as a painful time that pushed him to focus on healing and rebuilding himself.
"My support system ko is always been there. But really, going back to your faith. I've always been a man of faith, may takot ako sa Diyos," Derek shared.
"With good friends and sa family ko, they helped me get back to my faith. Para siyang reminder, kumatok sa pinto si Lord na 'Huy. Nandito ako.' I just turn my focus to him. Kahit anong ingay at problema, binigay ko na lang sa kanya."
One of the things Derek said he was most grateful for was spending time with his family, particularly his daughter Liana, during a visit to the United Kingdom. The trip allowed him to reflect as the new year began.
"Just want to move on with life and really focus on my mom, my dad, daughter. Maraming battles e, you have to choose your battles," he added.
During the interview, Derek also addressed reports about his previous trip to Japan, where he was allegedly drunk at a club due to the issues involving his former partner.
The actor denied the claims, clarifying that he does not resort to alcohol.
"Kasalanan ko rin 'yan. Hindi ako lasing, never n'yo makikita 'yung walwal na wala akong kontrol sa sarili," he stated. "Nag-post ako ng isang night na lumabas ako kasama mga kaibigan ko sa Japan. Pero hindi ako lasing. I was just having a good time with some really good friends, that was it."
Derek explained that he traveled to Japan to take a break while dealing with personal problems. He also clarified rumors linking him to a woman seen in his posts, identifying her as his friend (only), Rose Guevarra.
"Natatawa lang kami kasi alam namin 'yung totoo," Rose said about the rumors, adding she already has her own family.
Despite being open to love in the future, Derek emphasized that he is not ready to enter a new relationship at the moment.
"No way. My focus is really tlaga sa trabaho ko, pamilya ko, 'yun lang."
Derek's interview comes after his separation from Ellen Adarna, including the actress's cheating allegations against him.
Despite the issue, Derek had the chance to take his daughter abroad and enjoy family time with his mom and dad.
