Director Mark Reyes recently visited Japan to promote the Japanese screening of the movie version of the megaseries Voltes V: Legacy which he directed.
Direk Mark visited the Toei Company headquarters in Ginza and joined the press roadshow for Voltes V: Legacy - The Cinematic Experience, a movie that condenses the first few episodes of the series.
"After 2 jam-packed days of back-to-back press and media interviews, a town hall lecture, pictorials, video shoots, autograph signing, a courtesy call, dinner socials/ meetings, and my favorite toy line inspection. I can finally say it's mission accomplished here in Tokyo for the Voltes V: Legacy Cho Denji Henshu Ban (Ultramagnetic Version) or International film version press roadshow," he wrote on Instagram.
He is proud to have the movie will be the first Philippine-produced film based on a Japanese Anime to be screened in Japan.
"The re-graded, audio-enhanced and recut 100% Pinoy produced film from GMA Network will be released here in almost 200 theatres nationwide this coming October 18th," he continued in the caption.
Direk Mark is also very thankful for the support and love that both the movie and the series received in Japan.
From the multiple requests for interviews and high praises for Voltes V Legacy. I am both humbled and gratified that Japan is warmly and excitedly welcoming back Voltes V to its motherland," his caption read.

It has a simulcast on the digital channel Pinoy Hits and is livestreaming on Kapuso Stream.

He revealed that the movie will be called Voltes V: Legacy Cho Denji Henshu Ban or Voltes V: Legacy Ultramagnectic Version for its international screening. It is also the first Philippine-produced film based on a Japanese Anime to be screened in Japan.
Direk Mark was also very happy to receive gifts like magazines and shirts from various people he met during the roadshow.
He was glad to step foot inside the iconic Toei Company headquarters in Ginza, Tokyo.
He participated in a town hall lecture with Toei personnel.
Direk Mark gave an exclusive interview with the Asahi Shimbum, one of the largest newspapers in Japan.

One of his favorite parts of the roadshow was the inspection of the upcoming Voltes V: Legacy toy line. Direk Mark censored the prototype so we just have to keep our eyes peeled and wait for the release!
