Naghiwalay sa mismong araw ng kanilang third wedding anniversary sina DJ Mo Twister at kaniyang misis na si Angelika Schmeing o mas kilala bilang Angelicopter.
Sa episode 56 ng Good Times with Mo: The Podcast Year 13 sa Spotify, sinabi ni DJ Mo na hiniwalayan siya ni Angelika sa kanila mismong wedding anniversary day.
Sa nasabing episode ng podcast, tila naka-relate kasi si DJ Mo sa kuwento ng kanilang caller kaya nabanggit niya ang kaniyang personal na pinagdadaanan.
“I got dumped on our third-year wedding anniversary,” pahayag niya sa kaniyang co-hosts na sina Sam Oh at Mara Aquino.
Dagdag pa niya, “I don't want to talk about it extensively just yet… but that day… I don't think she knew it was our wedding anniversary. So, that s*cks for me.”
Ayon sa report ng Pep.ph, maraming ispekulasyon tungkol sa dahilan ng hiwalayan ng dalawa. Gaya na lamang ng 'di umano'y ugnayan ni DJ Mo sa dalawang babaeng co-hosts nito sa kaniyang podcast show, at personal differences nila ni Angelika.
Sinabi rin ni DJ Mo na totoong tumanggi siya na sumalang sa isang marriage counselling. Pero paglilinaw niya, walang third party sa kanilang relasyon ni Angelika. Tumanggi rin siyang ihayag kung ano ang “root cause” ng kanilang hiwalayan.
Sa kaniyang podcast, kinumpirma ni DJ Mo totoong maghahain na sila ng divorce issue ng kaniyang ex-wife na ngayon na si Angelika.
Noong June 15, 2021, ikinasal sina DJ mo at Angelika sa Iceland. Walong taon muna silang naging magkasintahan bago sila nagpakasal.

A year before their wedding, Mo and Angelika traveled to Iceland together.

Mo and Angelika both have children in previous relationships. Angelika has a son named Lucas and Mo has a daughter named Moira. Mo and Angelika have a baby girl named Amsterdam.
Mo makes sure his daughter Moira spends time with her younger sister Amsterdam.
Mo and Angelika are raising Lucas and Amsterdam in their U.S. home.
The couple surprised the public with their marriage announcement in June 2021. They had a simple yet meaningful wedding ceremony in Iceland, braving the cold weather to find a sunny spot to seal their "I do's."
