Netizens, as well as drag fans and members of the LGBTQIA+ community, immediately criticized Angel's remarks.

In a Facebook post, using her signature lingo, Angel admitted her faults, acknowledging that she “over-expressed” her thoughts and was decisively in the wrong.

Angel also expressed deep regret for her previous statements. She specifically reached out to Marina, calling her “sister” and emphasizing that she is ready to face the consequences of her actions.

“Unang una sa lahat sorry mga alaga, award sena!! HARD loka!! Pero sorry I'm really really sorry hard especially to my sister, Marina,” Angel wrote in her post.

She continued, “Na-overexpress ako at I know na MALI TALAGA AKO. I want to take accountability and responsibility dito mga nak.”

Rather than becoming defensive, she also thanked the netizens and fellow drag queens who held her accountable. She noted that being called out serves as a stepping stone for her to become a “better person.”

Angel also addressed the fellow “queens” who personally spoke to her about the error of her ways, showing a united front within the community despite the recent tension.

“Pero thank you talaga sa mga taong nag call out sakin para maging better person. Thank you din sa mga queens na nagsabi sakin na mali ang nagawa ko,” she wrote.

To clarify her stance on Marina's recent career milestones, including the highly talked-about hosting of MUPH 2026, Angel also insisted that there is no genuine bitterness behind her actions.

She ended her statement by celebrating the achievements of her “sisters” in the industry, stressing that her support is real: “Again, masaya ako para sa lahat ng achievements ng mga sisters ko TOTOONG BUHAY LANG!!”

Angel competed in season 3 of Drag Race Philippines, which aired in late 2024. She had a highly successful run on the show, making it all the way to the Grand Finale and finishing as a Top 4 finalist while her biological sibling, Maxie was hailed the winner of the season.

Meanwhile, Marina was the breakout star of the inaugural season of Drag Race Philippines, finishing as the runner-up.

In 2024, she represented the Philippines in the second season of RuPaul's Drag Race: UK vs. the World.

She placed 3rd/4th, earning universal acclaim from RuPaul and global fans for her “Pinoy Pride” runways and her high-octane performances.
