Today, February 25, marks the 35th year of the historic EDSA People Power Revolution that toppled the 20-year rule of then President Ferdinand Marcos.
The bloodless revolution restored democracy in the country, with Corazon “Cory” Aquino - widow of slain opposition leader, Benigno “Ninoy” Aquino Jr. - officially assuming the presidency exactly on this date.
It was, to say the least, a new beginning for the country.
Meanwhile, 1986 also was the year when some of our favorite Kapuso stars were born.
They are part of the so-called “EDSA babies” or people who were born on that pivotal year in our country's history.

In celebration of the anniversary of the People Power Revolution, we present the Kapuso artists who were born in 1986.
