Filipino voice actor Jefferson Utanes passes away

The entertainment industry lost another beloved personality as Pinoy voice actor Jefferson Utanes passed away.
On social media, friends and family shared the breaking news with heartfelt tributes.
"On behalf of my sister Catherine (Feliciano-Utanes) and her children Jhulianne [and] Justin, we humbly ask for prayers for the soul of my brother-in-law Jefferson Seril Utanes. May the Lord grant him eternal rest and perpetual light. Amen," Jefferson's sister-in-law, Elizabeth Teodoro, posted.
Meanwhile, Catherine shared details of Jefferson's wake. The viewing will start today (December 17) at San Roque, Antipolo City. Internment will take place on December 21 at Providence Memorial Park.
Fans also flooded the comment sections and other social media platforms to express their deepest condolence to Jefferson's family. Many also sent their gratitude to the late dubbing director for making their childhood fun and memorable with his dubbed anime characters.
Jefferson Utanes was known for bringing life to several Filipino-dubbed anime characters.
Called "Goku ng Pinas," Jefferson was best known as the Filipino voice behind Son Goku from the 1986 anime Dragon Ball.
He also dubbed other characters such as Doraemon, James (Pokémon), Usopp (One Piece), and Kogoro Mori (Detective Conan).
Jeff was also the voice-over announcer in the fun noontime program It's Showtime.
