GDragon Power

Fans of the iconic K-pop group BIGBANG are buzzing with excitement as G-Dragon makes a stunning return with a new single after a seven-year hiatus.

As October wraps up, the K-pop king dropped his highly anticipated song, "Power." The track quickly captivated listeners with its infectious hip-hop beats and G-Dragon's signature addictive rapping. The catchy chorus, featuring the repeated lyrics "I got the power, the power, power, up power" has already embedded itself in fans' minds, creating an irresistible anthem.

The music video adds to the fun, showcasing a vibrant mix of retro and colorful visuals. It kicked off with G-Dragon sitting beside a hot-wheels-inspired car surrounded by fake grass and flowers. As the video unfolds, viewers were treated to an array of playful props, including a giant television screen, a photo booth, and even a train setting. G-Dragon's fashion choices shine just as brightly, with bold colors and on-trend styles that perfectly complement the lively vibe.

As of writing, the music video has garnered nearly 130,000 likes on YouTube, reflecting its warm reception. Fans are also taking to social media, with hashtags like #GDRAGON_POWER, #POWER_MV_OUT_NOW, and #GDragonPower (in Hangul) trending on X (formerly Twitter).

"Power" marks G-Dragon's highly anticipated comeback after a seven-year hiatus. This single is especially significant as it's part of his new partnership with Galaxy Corporation and EMPIRE, a major independent record label that features artists like Shaboozey.

In a statement, G-Dragon shared that the new single “manifests the essence of music.” He expressed, “I express myself through music. This marks the beginning of a new era and I hope to inspire people who listen to my music.”

In addition to his musical return, the K-pop king is set to grace the stage at the upcoming MAMA Awards in Japan on November 23. This will be his first performance in nearly a decade at the prestigious K-pop awards show. Earlier this month, Billboard reported that Tencent Music Entertainment Group has partnered with Galaxy Corporation for his upcoming tour, further fueling excitement among fans.
