In a recent interview on Toni Talks, actor Gerald Anderson addressed rumors about his relationship with Julia Barretto.
He clarified that they are still together, "No, we're okay. Kanina hinatid ko siya sa airport," indicating he had just taken her to the airport for a trip to Dubai.
Gerald also reflected on the positive impact Julia has had on his life, describing her as a significant source of happiness and personal growth.
"Siguro, for one, it's deeper," Gerald said, describing his relationship with Julia.
"I think seven years yata ang agwat namin. Si Julia is very mapagmahal, very motherly, manang mana siya kay Tita Marj, 'yung mommy niya.
"'Yung values na meron siya, 'yung love na binibigay niya, 'yung support na binibigay niya. It inspires me to be better and give 'yung 100 percent ko and 'yung best version ko.
He emphasized his commitment to fidelity in relationships, asserting, "Kapag sila, sila talaga, walang iba," and denied allegations of infidelity in his past relationships.
The 36-year-old actor also took accountability for his past breakups, saying he focused on his career and personal image rather than the feelings of other people.
"Aaminin ko, it's almost impossible especially sa work natin, sa environment natin, sa situations natin, na hindi ka ma-fu-fall, especially at a young age. And everything is, binabato na lang sa'yo lahat. It's very hard not to fall into that," he said.
"In terms of mga past relationships ko, never akong nagkaroon ng regret. Because happy ako nung time na 'yun eh.
"Alam ko naman 'yung nangyari, e. Hindi ko sinasabing maganda. At the end of the day, naging failure ako eh. Because nag-fail 'yung relationship ko. It was more on my part. And more on sana na-handle ko ng mas maayos.
"I could've been a better person, a better partner. I should've been better sa process na 'yun.
"'Yun lang 'yung naging focus ko, instead of the feelings ng mga taong kasama ko. "
