Tina Monasterio's son Derrick Monasterio may be the one in the limelight right now, but the former actress was also a star during her heyday.
Everybody knows who Derrick Monasterio is, but for much of the past few days, the name on everyone's lips was his mother's, Tina Monasterio.
The former actress made the headlines after Derrick revealed his surprise at her upcoming marriage during the press conference for his role on 'Daig Kayo Ng Lola Ko.'
“Actually, nagulat din ako talaga, pero, happy ako kasi nagbago talaga 'yung mood ng mom ko. Sa bahay kung papaano siya sa amin, wow! Basta iba, iba 'yung mood niya, mas mukha siyang bumata. So doon mo masasabi parang 'pag in love e, parang fresh ka, blooming ka palagi ganun,” he shared.
Apparently, Tina didn't even tell her son about her engagement and just sent him a photo of her ring, along with a date for the marriage. Preparations for the upcoming nuptials are also going smoothly, according to Derrick.
“Hindi naman. Hindi naman mahirap 'yung preparation, smooth naman kasi nga sa States siya ikakasal, medyo wala naman masyadong restrictions doon. So ayos na lahat, so kami na lang talaga ang pupunta.”
