Gil Cuerva's cryptic posts spark breakup rumors with Lexi Gonzales

The internet buzzes once again with Gil Cuerva's recent series of cryptic posts.
On X (formerly Twitter), the Kapuso actor began expressing deep emotions on November 22 with messages about heartbreak and healing.
"The deception will be used as fuel for my comeback. I will rebuild from this. Just remember, what goes around comes around," he wrote.
In another post, he added, "Just completely hurt and blindsided, but I will channel all of this into something better. Just need time to heal. But damn, to be betrayed like this is an all time low for me."
Netizens were also taken aback when Gil mentioned hearing heartbreaking songs on the radio, saying it felt intentional.
"Parang nananadya radio a. Puro heartbreak songs. Universe naman o," he shared.
The “hugot” posts continued for several days, hinting that the actor was dealing with emotional pain.
"All I can say is tho, if the roles were reversed, I would absolutely be persecuted and on the receiving end of a lynch mob. The energy is not the same when the roles are reversed. Double standards," he said.
However, on November 25, Gil signaled that he was beginning to heal.
"Went on quite a reasonable crash out and I'm cringing a bit at myself, but cutting myself some slack because I am human and have feeling," he stated. "But ok swear, ito na talaga beginning to healing arc ko guys no more sad boi stuff. Masakit ang nangyari sakin, but I will bounce back."
Many began speculating that the posts could be related to his relationship with girlfriend Lexi Gonzales, sparking breakup rumors between the two.
As of writing, neither Gil nor Lexi has released a statement addressing the rumors.
The speculation follows the couple's previous sightings at the GMA Gala 2025 and several Kapuso show appearances together.
Last July, Lexi spoke about their three-year relationship during her guesting on Fast Talk with Boy Abunda. When asked about marriage, she admitted they had talked about it but were not ready yet.
“I think we're far. We're far from marriage and all, although we want our relationship to go somewhere, definitely. But I think we're just at a place right now where hindi pa namin kaya,” she said.
She also opened up about how they continue adjusting to each other. “Kasi nagbabago talaga ang buhay. Constant communication lang na 'Alam mo, I need you to be ike this ngayon kasi I'm at this point in my life.' Ganu'n din siya, palitan lang kami ng energy,” she added.
The couple also appeared together last February, where they discussed setting boundaries and respecting each other's friendships.
