IN PHOTOS: Britain, loved ones bid farewell to Prince Philip

The funeral of Britain's Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh, during the weekend, April 17, gave the public a glimpse of a monarchy in mourning.
With health concerns lingering because of the pandemic, the occasion was attended by a slim entourage composed of closest family members and friends.
The signs of the times were in full display, with attendees wearing face masks and seated apart to observe social distancing.
But no image was more striking than that of Queen Elizabeth II sitting by her lonesome, all clad in black attire, and with her head bowed down. She and Prince Philip have been married for 73 years.
Later reports said that the Queen carried with her an old photo of her and Prince Philip's trip to Malta as newlyweds, and a white handkerchief from her husband's favorite Savile Row tailors, Kent & Haste.
On top of Prince Philip's casket was a handwritten note of the Queen with the word “Lilibeth,” Queen Elizabeth's childhood nickname.
