Health experts in the country have sounded the alarm after the country recorded a spike in dengue cases this year.
Dengue is a viral infection transmitted to humans through the bite of infected mosquitoes. The primary vectors that transmit the disease are Aedes aegypti mosquitoes.
Meanwhile, in a report by GMA News Online, the Department of Health (DOH) recorded a 90% increase in dengue cases from January 1 to June 25 compared to the same period last year with 64,797 patients.
