IN PHOTOS: Celebrities who went to Boracay during the quarantine

Since a community quarantine was declared in March 2020, tourist spots all over the country were closed as a safety precaution against the COVID-19 virus.
Thankfully, in October 2020, with a strict guideline approved by the national government and the Department of Tourism, Boracay opened its door to local tourists to once again aid the economy of the province.
To help boost the tourism industry in the Philippines, celebrities went to Boracay to prove that traveling to the island is safe.
Make no mistake that there is still the threat of COVID-19, that's why everyone who wanted to go to Boracay needed to test negative in the RT-PCR, 48 to 72 hours before traveling.
In a podcast, Kapuso couple Mikael Daez and Megan Young shared their experience in the 'new normal.'
For Megan, she wanted to bask in the famed, world-class Boracay sand, sea, and sun to recharge after being cooped up inside their home.
Meanwhile, Mikael wanted to check the situation right before his eyes and to see how he could help the locals by availing of their services.
Aside from Megan and Mikael, several celebrities also went to Boracay for different reasons but all of them have a common denominator: use their influence to jumpstart local tourism.
