IN PHOTOS: Dingdong Dantes' unrelenting fight against climate change

Dingdong Dantes has revived calls to pay attention to worsening climate change and its effects on the planet.
The widespread flooding that occurred this year caused by typhoons Rolly, Ulysses, and Vicky, has alarmed the Kapuso actor that he, together with fellow celebrities and concerned personalities, held an online dialogue on the subject recently.
The event “Now What? Climate Action #NowPH was under the #NowPH banner - the youth-led climate action campaign founded in 2015 and headed by Dingdong.
“It has been five years since we launched #NowPH, a youth-led climate action campaign. And its battlecry remains true, if not more significant, to this day,” Dingdong wrote on Instagram.
Dingdong has always advocated mitigating the harmful effects of climate change through education and action, both small and big.
His stint as commissioner-at-large for the National Youth Commission (NYC) saw the actor taking an active role in reaching out to the public to spread the important message.
Dingdong served the NYC from May 2014 to April 2016.
#NowPH was the flagship brand that tied together all climate and environmental-related programs supported by the NYC under Dingdong's watch.
Dingdong's aggressive efforts eventually helped the #NowPH campaign gather 3.6 million pledges for the historic 2015 United Nations Climate Change Conference (COP 21).
It also helped pave the way to the passing of proclamations declaring November 25 of every year as the National Day for Youth in Climate Action and ASEAN Youth in Climate Action and Disaster Resilience Day.
In recognition of Dingdong's tireless efforts, we take a look at some of the campaigns, milestones, and achievements that he saw through to combat climate change.
