Saweetie recently made headlines when she slayed at the 2021 Met Gala, wearing a stunning red Christian Cowan gown that paid homage to her black and Filipino roots.
During her red carpet interview with E!, Saweetie said, “Both the flags draping are the Black American heritage flag and the Filipino flag, because I'm Black and Filipino and that's what makes me an American girl.”
