Young Kapuso actress Shanelle Agustin first got noticed when she played the younger version of Lia, the character of Jasmine Curtis-Smith in the GMA Telebabad series 'The World Between Us.'
Before breaking into showbiz, she started her career as a print and commercial model. She officially signed with GMA Artist Center in 2020.
"Sobrang saya dahil despite sa mga nangyayari ngayong dahil pandemic, binigyan ako ng opportunity ng GMA," she revealed.
Shanelle was one of the talents who renewed her contract during GMA Artist Center's biggest signing event, Signed for Stardom held on September 5.
"Huwag silang matakot na harapin 'yung mga challenges dahil kung gusto mong i-puruse talaga ang pagiging artista, kailangan mong maging confident sa sarili mo and don't ever compare yourself sa iba," the young actress explained.
She says that she has always wanted to be an actress and she dreams of landing her first lead role.
"Bata pa lang ako, pangarap ko nang makita 'yung sarili ko sa TV na umaakting," Shanelle recalled.
"Gusto kong maging versatile na actress but ang dream role ko talaga ay maging bida," she added.
One of the Kapuso actresses she looks up to is breakout star Kyline Alcantara.
"Ang gusto kong makatrabaho ay si Kyline Alcantara dahil isa rin talaga siya sa naging idol ko sa pag-arte. Nakakasama ko na rin siya sa acting workshops. Masasabi ko na madali at masaya siyang katrabaho," Shanelle shared.
Aside from this, she is also very good friends with former 'Prima Donnas' star Sofia Pablo.
"Nag-start lahat noong nagkayayaan kaming magkita dahil malapit lang kami sa isa't isa. Simula noon, lagi na kaming magkausap and kumakain sa labas kaya mas naging close talaga kami. We have a lot in common kaya nagkakasundo kaming dalawa," said Shanelle.
