Doing bedroom makeovers or renovations have become a fad during the quarantine period, since most people have finally had the time to do some repairs and upgrades in their bedrooms.
In Janine Gutierrez's recent vlog, she revealed that their house is in need of some major renovation because according to her, it's already "falling apart."
See how the first phase of their #SaveFairview project turned out in this photo gallery of Janine Gutierrez and her siblings' bedroom makeover.
Janine Gutierrez and her sister Maxine recently vlogged about their bedroom renovation. It is actually the first phase of #SaveFairview, a renovation project to save their home, which according to them is “falling apart.”
They used to have a huge shelf cabinet near the door of their bedroom.
They got rid of the shelf cabinet as it takes up too much space and turned it into a work area.
There's now a study table, chair, and mirror where the huge shelf cabinet used to be.
Janine revealed that their bedroom floor also needs fixing. And siince rugs are generally a bit expensive, they've chosen a locally made blanket or throw as a quick fix. It does a good job concealing the broken floor and looks cute at the same time.
Technically, Janine has already moved out of the house. But she feels very sentimental about her sister's bedroom renovation because it used to be her bedroom, too. This is what Janine's bed looked like before.
Ever since Janine moved out, Maxine has taken over her bed. They also revealed that Max used to sleep on the floor when Janine still shared the room with her.
They also showed a cute storage side table they bought from Instagram shop Cama Vintage.
Janine and her siblings used to have a TV in between the two cabinets.
They have now used it as a dedicated space for their books and record player. They got floating shelves from Mandaue Foam that they mounted on the wall after painting the cabinet. Max also showed Janine how she instructs Google to turn the lights on and off.
The gorgeous dark blue curtain is actually a hand-me-down from their mom, Lotlot de Leon.
They also have a framed photograph of their grandma or mamita, Pilita Corales.
Janine also gave a sneak peek of her old cabinet.
Although the cabinet now belongs to Max, some of Janine's old stuff and memories are still posted on the cabinet, like her motivational artwork that inspired her to become a dean's lister.
Their brother Diego approves of the bedroom makeover and said he was the one who painted the higher portions of the walls.
Max made fun of Diego's paint job and said it was “lagpas-lagpas.”
Their dad, Ramon Christopher “Monching” Gutierrez said hi to the vlog while carrying two adorable puppies.
Their sister Jessica or “Je” also said hi and explained that she was actually working and couldn't take part in the vlog.
Janine couldn't resist cuddling with one of the fur babies.
The Gutierrez siblings applauded their dad for being such a great handyman. He was the one who installed the floating shelves on the wall.
Congratulations to Janine, her dad, and her siblings for doing a great job in their bedroom makeover. Good luck on the next phase of #SaveFairview!
