One of the most visually appealing scenes in the hit historical portal fantasy series Maria Clara at Ibarra is where the main character Klay, played by Kapuso Primetime Princess Barbie Forteza, enters the world of Jose Rizal's novel Noli Me Tangere.
After being caught plagiarizing a book report, Klay's professor Mr. Torres, played by Lou Veloso, lends her his personal copy of Noli Me Tangere.
Klay attempts to read the book at night on the rooftop of her home but she falls asleep and later gets sucked into the book.
The scene was achieved through a clever combination of practical effects and computer-generated imagery or CGI.
