In 2004, the quartet of Mark Herras, Jennylyn Mercado, Rainier Castillo, and Yasmien Kurdi took the country by storm after winning the inaugural season of the reality-based artista search 'StarStruck.'
Almost 17 years after they first captured everyone's hearts, Mark, Jennylyn, and Yasmien remained active in showbiz while Rainier decided to lie low.
During his guesting in Eat Bulaga's 'Bawal Judgmental' in June 2020, Rainier explained his decision to quit showbiz.
He wrote, "May time na medyo nakakapagod na rin talaga. 'Yun bang hindi ko na rin halos nakakasama 'yung family ko, lalo na kapag occasion na 'Pasko, ganyan."
After taking a step away from showbiz, Rainier is now happily married to Diane Quizon. Together, they have a daughter named Stellar Quinn.
