Max Collins and Pancho Magno's son, Skye Anakin, turned one on July 6, Tuesday.
It can be recalled that Max gave birth to Skye Anakin via water birth at home to stay protected against COVID-19 amid the pandemic.
In an exclusive interview with GMANetwork.com last year, Max and Pancho said that Skye Anakin is undoubtedly their silver lining during this very challenging time.
“Si Baby Skye eh. Yeah, that's enough blessing. That's our biggest blessing talaga,” Pancho said. “Parang wala ka nang mako-compare. Siguro isa na lang (dagdag) na naging safe kami during the typhoon. (Plus) during the pandemic, hindi kami nagkaroon ng sakit (kaya) very thankful kami.”
Max echoed the same sentiment and emphasized how wonderful it has been to have Skye Anakin in their lives.
“What's a better blessing than having a baby who's happy and healthy, right? So, it's been a great experience and we've been learning along the way,” Max said. “Like every day there's something new to learn about building a family, something new to learn about your spouse and about your child.”
She also talked about how they handled being first-time parents during the pandemic.
“Naging open lang kami to learning new things and admitting na we don't know everything. We're still learning more about each other every day and we take it step by step.”
Skye Anakin's dad, Pancho, is a big 'Star Wars' fan, so he was named after one of the most popular characters in the film series Anakin Skywalker.
And fittingly, Skye Anakin had a 'Star Wars'-inspired first birthday celebration at home.
Plus, he also had another awesome birthday celebration with a cool race car theme.
