GMA Telebabad opened the year with a new mini-series, 'AlterNate', the latest installment of acclaimed Kapuso anthology 'I Can See You'-- the same anthology that launched romance drama 'Love on the Balcony,' drama revenge 'High Rise Lovers,' and suspense-thriller 'Truly. Madly. Deadly.'
The new story under 'I Can See You' is bannered by Kapuso Primetime King Dingdong Dantes who, for the first time, plays a dual role.
Here, Dingdong appears as Nate who is the adopted son of a well-off couple. He is well-raised, well-bred, educated, and refined.
In an unexpected turn of events, Nate discovered that he has a twin brother, Michael, who is played by the primetime actor as well.
The conflict intensifies when Nate's wife, Sheila, unknowingly cheats on Nate with Michael because of their exact resemblance.
Apart from Dingdong headlining 'AlterNate,' the new mini-series also takes pride in pairing him with new Kapuso Beauty Gonzalez who breathes life to Sheila.
While their first team-up is already an interesting feature of the thriller, the reunion of ex-couple Ricky Davao and Jackie Lou Blanco in the 'I Can See You' series is also something to watch for.
Ricky and Jackie portray Lyndon and Cita, respectively, the parents of Nate.
'I Can See You: AlterNate' has a small ensemble cast but it would not be complete without its supporting cast members who play minor yet significant roles in the mini-series, including the mystery actor who served Dingdong's double to fulfill his dual role.
