The 73rd Primetime Emmy Awards kicks off the awards season on Sunday, September 19 (U.S. time).
Television's biggest night pushed through despite the lingering pandemic, thanks to safety and health protocols such as mandatory testing and vaccination for attendees, a reduced guest list, and an outdoor tent as its venue in Los Angeles.
Many of the key winners are from the series 'The Crown' and 'Ted Lasso,' which won Best Drama Series and Best Comedy Series respectively.
'The Queen's Gambit' was also a major winner, bagging the award for Best Limited Series.
Olivia Colman and Josh O'Connor of 'The Crown' won Best Drama Actress and Actor, respectively.
While Gillian Anderson and Tobias Menzies, also from 'The Crown' won Best Supporting Actress and Actor in a Drama.
Jason Sudeikis of 'Ted Lasso' and Jean Smart of 'Hacks'won Best Comedy Actor and Actress, while Brett Goldstein and Hannah Waddingham of “Ted Lasso” took home the award for Best Supporting Actor and Actress in a Comedy.
Kate Winslet of 'Mare of Easttown' and Ewan McGregor of 'Halston' were hailed the Best Actress and Actor in Limited Series or Movie, while Evan Peters and Julianne Nicholson of 'Mare of Easttown' won Best Supporting Actor and Actress in Limited Series or Movie.
Aside from the excitement of finding out who the Primetime Emmy winners are, many were also tuned in to see the glamorous and head-turning looks of the celebrities.
